Dani Avalos Prigge began her professional singing career at the age of 10. She sang with various groups and was the lead singer with different bands until 1979. Her history with Sweet Adelines began in 1978. She has sung with 6 different choruses; Bountiful UT, High Country CO, Choralaires IL., Verdugo Hills of Pasadena CA., California Heartland of Fresno CA., (5 top 5 INTL.medals) and Central Coast Celebration Chorus of Pismo Beach CA..She has competed at the International level with numerous Quartets. Special Delivery in Region 8, Sound Celebration in Region 8, Quicksilver in Region 11, Chicago Fire in Region 3, Main Event in Region 11, Persuasion in Region 21 and RIO in Region 11. (7 top 5 and 3 top 10 medals). In Reno NV. in 1994, Chicago Fire won the coveted International Quartet Championship. They became the 1995 Queens of Harmony. Dani has been on the International stage so many times it's hard to count, but we did! She was on the International stage 9 times in the Chorus Competition and 27 times in the Quartet Contest, for a total of 36 appearances at International. In addition to directing the Celebration Chorus, Dani also serves as part of Region 11's Music Faculty. She is a much sought after coach for both choruses and quartets. Her interpretation skills set her apart. She is an accomplished costume designer and has taught many classes, in several Regions regarding the art of Chorus Costume Design.
Dani's philosophy: "Singing is a joy to be shared with the audience." Dani lives in Shell Beach CA. with the ocean at her front door. She is married to Dave, has one son and 2 beautiful grandchildren.
